 WELCOME

Welcome to "Karen's Climb",
an all-volunteer Foundation dedicated
to supporting individuals and families
affected by cystic fibrosis.

Karen's Climb Foundation is pleased to bring back Spirit Fiddle, featuring champion fiddler Robin Warren and guitarist Brian Clancey, at 7:30 pm on Friday, April 18, 2008 at the Riverside Christian Church, 27 Depot Street in Merrimack NH. Admission is $12.00 in advance or $15.00 at the door. All proceeds will benefit Karen's Climb Foundation.

From the Boston Museum of Fine Arts to festivals in Canada in North Carolina, audiences delight in the eclectic mix of music Spirit Fiddle performs, and in their natural sense of humor on stage. On April 18 the public is invited to an evening of French musette, Canadian and Celtic jigs and reels, sweet old waltzes, Texas swing, and popular songs, in a warm and intimate setting.

Refreshments will be available during intermission. Tickets may be purchased online below, by phone at 603 595-8055, or by sending a check payable to Karen's Climb Foundation to P.O. Box 7977, Nashua, NH 03060-7977. All tickets will be held at the door. Tickets ordered online will be confirmed by email.
You may order by Credit Card or with a PayPal account.

We welcome your donation of any size and we will put the
funds to good use helping those affected by cystic fibrosis.

We thank supporters who purchased tickets for Simon Malls Evening of Giving on Sunday, November 18! 70% of the ticket proceeds come directly to Karen's Climb, and the remaining 30%is donated to the Simon youth foundation the malls support.

Ticket holders were able to start their holiday shopping, give back to the community, and support Karen's Climb, all at the same time. Look for this special evening again in 2008!

On Saturday, November 3, Comedian Gary Gulman performed a show at the Yard Restaurant Lounge in Manchester NH to benefit Karen's Climb Foundation.

We thank all the folks who bought tickets to see Gary and supported our fund-raising efforts at the same time.

Dailey's Irish Dream Team
2nd Annual Pig Roast & BBQ

Saturday, September 9, 11:00 am - 6:00 pm
Lone Pine Hunters Club, Rideout Road, Hollis NH

The Annual Pig Roast raised over $10,000! Activities included live music, a raffle table of great items, a 50/50 raffle, door prizes, games and activities for children, lots of food, and lots more! Supporters were invited to stay for a Texas Hold 'Em Tournament held the same night. All proceeds benefitted Karen's Climb Foundation.

The inspiration for this Foundation and its work came from the courage and determination of Karen Larlee Grant, who at the age of 15 overcame overwhelming odds by climbing Mt. Katahdin, the highest peak in Maine, despite having cystic fibrosis. This one triumphant act typified the way she lived a life fraught with illness. Since her death in 1984 from cystic fibrosis, Karen's life, as memorialized in both story and song, has been an inspiration to many people.

Included here are details of what we do, including community services provided, financial details, information on cystic fibrosis, and references to some useful Cystic Fibrosis Resources on the Internet. Also included are several cases and letters from people who have benefited from Karen's legacy.

You may want to find out more about who we are. In this section you will find specifics about our mission and guiding principles. We hope you will take the time to meet our Board of Directors. In a letter, the President of the Foundation summarizes the accomplishments of our organization.

We can use your help. Many opportunities for Sponsorships are available, from Annual Sponsor to Table purchase at the Annual Benefit Concert and Silent Auction. Details of benefits to Sponsors are included. Please look at what you can do to see where you might fit in this work of supporting people with cystic fibrosis. You can be a vital part of "Karen's Climb" no matter where you live.
